As a Female, Foreigner and non-Japanese speaker, I was the first employee at a bootstrapping Japan-based company. The early stage experience with co-founders and board members helped to build the basis for working alongside startups, from ecosystem footprints like community engagement and investor's relations all the way to launching a brand from scratch with constant iterations.
Built the basic platform for our fund's mission, attracting investments for the new company, LPs to Funds I & II, focused on US & Japan-based hardware & hard-tech startups.
Launched our new Canadian office in Toronto (March/2023). Now joining forces with ecosystem partners to help build long term engagements between North American Startup Ecosystems and Japanese Deep Tech and Manufacturing Resources.
+8 years focused on early stage hardtech startups in Japan, the US & Canada, from pre-seed to series A: robotics, cleantech & medtech.
+15 years of experience in customer-centric business & digital marketing, working closely with entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, from the US, Japan, France, Latin America & Scandinavia. In my previous life, I worked for leading digital agencies as a Client Partner and Project Manager.
