Erica Barbosa Vargas (she/her)

Erica is Director, Private Markets at Eclipx Family Office. As member of the senior management team, part of her responsibilities include leading the firm’s private markets investment strategy and implementation across private equity, venture capital, private debt, infrastructure and other real assets, and for advancing the firm impact and sustainable finance approaches across public and private markets in an effort to align investment assets with family's ambition for positive societal and environmental impact.

She has 20 years of experience in impact investing and international development, having worked most recently at SecondMuse Capital and the McConnell Foundation before that. She is recognized for her leading work in the field having contributed to Canada’s sustainable finance and impact investing development. A Bolivian national, emmigrated to Canada in 2001, Erica completed undergraduate studies in behavioral psychology and neuroscience, and holds an MPA in Public and Economic Policy from the London School of Economics & Political Science.

She is mom to a fierce little daughter that is 8 years old, she is passionate about building a caring world in which every person has the opportunity and freedom to develop their full potential in a healthy and joyful environment.
