Ruma Bose is a Canadian, serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, investor, philanthropist and mother. Her career spans 15 years working as founder and/or CEO of consumer companies and investing in the industry as a venture capitalist. She is currently a Principal at Ohana Capital in NY. Ruma wrote the international best-selling book, Mother Teresa CEO, which has been translated into multiple languages. The book describes Mother Teresa as one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all time and is inspired by a year Ruma spent in Calcutta with Mother Teresa. Ruma mentors many young entrepreneurs around the world and sits on several boards, including Buytopia, Maiyet, Fonderie 47 and Vanu Africa. Her non-profit board appointments focus on education and entrepreneurship. They include the Malala Fund, the Global Entrepreneurs Council at the United Nations Foundation, the Unreasonable Institute, the Girl Guides and the Nexus Global Youth Network.
She is a sought after speaker globally and is a regular keynote at entrepreneurship and philanthropy related conferences, including Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women in the World Summit.
