Christiane Germain (she/her)

Co-founder, Germain Hotels

Passionate about the hospitality industry, Christiane Germain co-founded the Quebec-based company Germain Hotels with her brother Jean-Yves nearly 40 years ago.

Known for her energy, tenacity, and entrepreneurial spirit, she played a key role in establishing Germain Hotels as a leader in Canada’s independent hotel sector. Her career has been recognized time and again by the business world and the Canadian tourism community.

With a new generation now at the helm, Christiane remains actively involved in the company as co- founder and strategic mentor. Among the initiatives she is most proud of is the local sourcing policy she implemented at Germain Hotels, an enduring legacy that continues to support Canadian talent and stimulate the local economy.

Beyond her role within the company, Christiane also chairs the board of directors of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and is deeply engaged in numerous charitable causes, reflecting her strong commitment to the community and the arts. She is a Member of the Order of Canada (C.M.) and the National Order of Quebec (C.Q.).
